On-air Net Change

Starting in December, the on-air net that is on the 2nd Tuesday of each month will be an emergency power net. If able, all stations are asked to check in to the net using power other than the commercial power grid. This could be battery power, solar, checking in from your car, etc.. This will give you a chance to use an alternative power source just like you may have to do in the event of an emergency. Of course, even if you can't use an alternative power source, please check in to the net anyway. All of the other weekly on-air net will be held as usual. Hope to hear you on the net!!

Do You Belong?
Thursday, 19 November 2009 21:50

Are you an active member? The kind who would be missed? Or are you just contented that your name is on the list?
Do you attend the meetings and mingle with the flock? Or do you meet in private and criticize and knock?
Do you take an active part to help the work along? Or are you satisfied to be the kind that just belongs?
Do you work on committees? To this there is no trick; or leave the work to just a few, and talk about the click?
Please come to the meetings often, and help with hand and heart. Don't be just a member but take an active part.
Think this over, members, you know what's right from wrong. Are you an active member, or do you just belong?

The 147.180 Mhz. repeater no longer needs a PL tone to access it. If you experience any problems with the repeater, let Scott KC8ITN know.
